Registration for Kindergarten through Grade 12

Registration
Students may be enrolled at the school district at any time, and parents are urged to enroll their children as soon as possible after arrival in the area. All registrations are completed at the Garnet Valley Education Center at 80 Station Road, Glen Mills, PA. (Please note that ONLY the yearly Kindergarten registration is held at Concord Elementary School in January. Notices are posted on the website and in local publications.)

Parents must provide a proof of residency supplying one of the following original documents at registration.

A. CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
B. DEED
C. SETTLEMENT STATEMENT
D. LEASE AGREEMENT
E. RECENT MORTGAGE STATEMENT
F. RECENT REAL ESTATE TAX STATEMENT
G. AGREEMENT OF SALE (Accepted only if settlement is pending)

All new students must present an original state issued birth certificate, a complete immunization record, and the proof of residency documents (see above) in order to be registered. Kindergarten students are required to be five years of age on or before September 10th of the year they begin school in GVSD. First grade students are required to be six years of age on or before September 10th of the year they begin school in GVSD.

All students are required to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, measles, rubella, mumps and hepatitis B. Tuberculin tests are required of kindergarten students and new students. Varicella (chicken pox) is required for all students entering kindergarten, first grade and seventh grade.

Registration hours are 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
