Book Exchange
Our goals for students during this time are as follows: Students will select books independently and thoughtfully Stuents will find joy and excitement in books and stories All Bethel Springs students have Library Book Exchange for thirty minutes per week. Policies and Procedures Due Dates Books are checked out for one week and always due on your child’s library day. Students are permitted to borrow two books at a time. Exceptions are made for students who require books for a specific class project. If a child does not return a book he/she cannot check out a new one until the other book is returned. Children who forget their books select new books which we will put aside for them. Children can come to the library at any time during the week to pick up “saved” books. If a child forgets a book for a few weeks, we will send home a “Book Reminder” Note so that you are aware that the book has not been returned. We understand that sometimes books make it into backpacks, cubbies (even other children’s cubbies) but not to the library. Please contact us at 610-579-3015 if you think we might be able to help you locate a book. Lost Books In keeping with our goal of book care and personal responsibility we do ask students to pay the replacement cost of books that are lost and damaged beyond repair. Please note that some students become anxious about books that are late, lost or damaged. The library staff works to minimize these concerns. Book Exchange Schedule 2010-2011
