All homework is reviewed and written into the assignment books together as a whole class. Questions are asked and answered. Assignment books are signed. Finally, students begin to pack up to go home. (This is a great time for students to work on homework or get caught up on assignments)
Students may bring a snack to school. Snack is usually eaten at 10:00 during their first content area class. Some classes are peanut free zones and there are a couple room this year that have this restriction. Please check with your child before sending in peanut snacks. Our homeroom is a peanut free zone.
Everybody loves a birthday party! We will celebrate all birthdays during the 2:00-3:00 hour. Please feel free to send in any treats or snacks with your child. Remember we are a peanut free classroom.
This year our scheduled field trips are:
The Constitution Center
All students will have as many days as they were absent to make up any missed work (2 days out, 2 days to make up the work). A absent form will be filled out for your child that lists any homework assignments missed and all lose papers will be put into an absent folder and can be left in the students desk or in the office for pick-up. Remember to send in an absent note with your child when they return to school. You can always call me at school to get help or an explanation with homework.
