Mr. Lenderman

 

 

Mr. Lenderman has been teaching in the Garnet Valley School District since September 1995. He enjoys teaching third, fourth and fifth grade general music classes, as well as directing each grade level chorus. In addition, Mr. Lenderman teaches group instrumental lessons to fourth and fifth grade band students. He moved from Concord Elementary to GVES when GVES opened its doors in the Fall of 1997. Mr. Lenderman has assisted with the high school marching band, accompanied the high school chorus and accompanied the high school spring musical from 1996 through 2010.

Mr. Lenderman graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Perfomance from James Madison University in 1991 and received his teaching degree with a vocal emphasis in 1995 from West Chester University. In August 2002 he received his Masters Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Orff-Schulwerk. Mr. Lenderman has participated in additional course work at Oxford University, Oxford, England; Villanova University, Westminster Choir College and Gettysburg College.

Since October 1994, Mr. Lenderman has been the organist and choir director at Christ Church, Media, where he has been a member since birth. In addition to his regular Sunday duties as organist, he directs three childrens choirs and an adult choir, schedules guest performers and oversees the music budget.

Mr. Lenderman resides in Media with his wife Stefanie and two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Caroline. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as participating in outdoor activities.
