Making Calls

Inside the Building

  • Pickup the handset or press SPEAKER for speakerphone use
  • Dial 4-digit phone number
  • OR - Press DSS (Direct Station Select) button to person on your phone

 

Outside the Building
  • Pickup the handset or press SPEAKER for speakerphone use
  • Dial 9 + Phone Number
 
 
Transferring Calls

Inside the Building

  • Press TRANS/CONF
  • Dial 4 digit extension or press DSS key
  • Hang Up
  • (You may stay on the line to say who is being transferred)

 

Outside the Building
  • Press TRNS/CONF
  • Dial 9 + Phone Number
  • Wait to hear I ring
  • Press TRNS/CONF
  • Dial #
  • Hang Up
FEATURES
 
MUTE - Press to MUTE your voice from being heard.
NOTE: This controls the handset and the speakerphone on Multi - Line Digital Phones ONLY

TAP - Picks up a call placed on HOLD on your phone; also used to pick a call back up from a transfer that you do not want to complete.

SHIFT - Used to access 2nd level speed dials stored in your phone.

Ringer Volume - Multi-Line Digital Phones are adjusted by moving the volume switch on the phone up or down, (Volume level will be indicated in the display) after setting the volume to the desired level, you must dial **7 to lock this setting in.
 

Conference Calls

  • While speaking with the first party, press TRNS/CONF
  • Press DSS Key or Dial 4 digit Extension on the COMDIAL system
  • OR - Dial 9 + Phone Number
  • After 2nd party answers, press TRNS/CONF

NOTE: This may be repeated to include up to FIVE parties. You may also drop out of the conference by pressing # and hanging up.

PARK
 
Placing a call on PARK
  • From your Multi - Line Digital Phone inside the Building on the COMDIAL system, while speaking with an outside party, press an available PARK key
Picking up a call on PARK
  • From your Multi - Line Digital Phone inside the Building on the COMDIAL system, press the PARK key that is lit (Call is transferred to one of your available POOL keys)
HOLD
 
Placing a call on HOLD
  • While speaking with the outside party, press HOLD
    NOTE: Call can only be picked back up at your phone.
Picking up a call on HOLD
  • Press the GREEN blinking POOL key where the desired call is on HOLD

DND - Do Not Disturb

  1. Select OPTIONS
  2. Select NEXT until the DND option appears
  3. Select DND
  4. Select ON
  5. Select EXIT
  6. Press speaker button to end.

To DISABLE the DND condition, repeat the above procedure, but select OFF instead of On at step 4.

VoicemailIt is important that you tum your mailbox on as soon as possible. This will allow outside callers to hear your voice and assure them that they have reached the correct number. Otherwise, callers will hear a generic "That extension is not available right now... "

To enable your mailbox, follow the procedure "Calling VoicemaiI". You are strongly advised to change the password. Your password may be from I to 10 digits in length. Once you are logged into your Comdial mailbox, simply follow the tutorial to setup your mailbox. When you are recording your name, please include your full name and class you are teaching or title. It is also important that you press * (star) after completing the tutorial. This will delete the tutorial from your mailbox.

 

 

If you forget to press *, the next time you login, the tutorial will start again. Simply press * to delete at any time.

 

Calling Voicemail

From your Multi - Line Digital Phone

  • Press the VMAIL button in your display
  • When prompted, enter your password

 

From Outside the Building
  • Dial 610-579-4546
  • After the system answers, press #
  • When prompted, enter your mailbox number
  • When prompted, enter your password
Transferring a Call to Voicemail
  • From your Multi - Line Digital Phone
  • While speaking with an outside party, press TRANS VM button
  • Press DSS Key or Dial 4 Digit Extension on the COMDIAL system
  • Hang Up
