The debit account system makes use of each student's unique student identification number. This number, which appears on your child's homeroom assignment sheet in this packet, will be entered like a Personal Identification Number (PIN) on a keypad at the cafeteria registers. When a student enters his or her PIN, their picture appears on the screen for the cashier to view and verify. (Students will be asked their name for verification until all new students have had their pictures added to the system.) The cost of the lunch, or snack will automatically be deducted from the account without the need for cash. When there is $6.00 or less in an account, a low balance memo will be given to your child's homeroom teacher to remind parents to replenish the account. Parents may send in a check at any time, with the student's ID number written on the memo line of the check. Please note that this system is very confidential.
