A Note From Our Principal

Welcome to Garnet Valley Elementary School; an outstanding school with a unique configuration and program tailored to serve students in grades 3,4 & 5. Our school, which opened in September of 1997, offers features such as a Little Theatre, a state of the art Library, Readers' Park Courtyard, spacious classrooms and specially designed areas for Art, Music and Physical Education.

The academic program includes instruction in Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Health, Art, Music and Physical Education in an integrated approach. In addition, our students receive instruction in innovative courses such as Study Skills, Developmental Guidance and the Second Step program.

In addition to our academic program, we offer students the opportunity to be involved in many before-school and after-school programs such as Chorus, Band, Student Government, Principal's Advisory Committee, and Intramural Sports and Clubs. At GVES, staff, parents and administrators work as a team to provide our students with the best educational experience possible.
