    Nomination Criteria for Selection

     

    The nominee must fit one or more of the following categories and meet the following criteria:

    §  Arts and Athletics

    o   Athlete, Coach, Official, or Administrator—a graduate of the GVSD whose achievements/contributions in high school, college, and/or professional athletics were extraordinary and were locally, regionally, and/or nationally recognized.

    o   Artist, Actor, Musician, Writer, Film Maker, etc.— a graduate of the GVSD whose achievements/ contributions to the Arts were extraordinary and were locally, regionally, and/or nationally recognized.

    §  Business and Innovation

    o   Business Owner, Entrepreneur, Industry Leader, Inventor, Researcher, Financier, etc.— a graduate of the GVSD whose achievements/contributions in the world of business and innovation were extraordinary and were locally, regionally, and/or nationally recognized.

    §  Service and Humanitarianism

    o   Military Personnel, Teacher, Professor, Doctor, Journalist, Politician, Civic Leader, Activist, Member of the Clergy, Religious Leader, etc.— a graduate of the GVSD whose achievements/contributions in the world of service and humanitarianism were extraordinary and were locally, regionally, and/or nationally recognized. 

     

    The Nominee must be a graduate of the GVSD and embody the highest standards of ethical conduct and moral character while exemplifying the ideals that the school community wishes its students to emulate and aspire. All nominees shall have significant and/or long-term contributions. Longevity without significant accomplishments does not constitute appropriate credentials for Hall of Fame consideration.
