🚍💙 Today we celebrate the incredible individuals who help our students start and end each day safely...our Garnet Valley bus drivers!
Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons, our drivers go above and beyond to ensure every student arrives with care, consistency, and a friendly smile. They are often the first and last faces our students see each day, and their impact reaches far beyond the road.
Thank you for your dedication, patience, and commitment to keeping our community moving. We appreciate all that you do for Garnet Valley! 👏

Each year, the Wharton Esherick Museum in Paoli hosts IMPRINT, a regional high school printmaking exhibition that challenges students to explore a unique theme through their artwork. This year’s theme, “Groundbreaking,” inspired submissions from 35 high schools across the region, with works selected by a curator from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
We are proud to share that two Garnet Valley students were among just 31 artists selected for this prestigious exhibition!
👏 Congratulations to Shivika Panghal and Abigail Kotch on this outstanding achievement. Your creativity, dedication, and artistic vision truly set you apart, and we are so proud to see your work recognized at this level!
Their works can be seen by clicking the link below and will also be on display in the Celebration of the Arts next week! I hope you can see them there!

📱💡 Garnet Valley students are taking the lead on an important issue impacting today’s youth and healthy technology use.
Recently featured by CBS Philadelphia, members of our Garnet Valley High School student-led initiative, Garnet Valley Screen Smart, visited Bethel Springs Elementary to help third graders build positive habits around screen time. Through engaging conversations and real-life strategies, our students are empowering younger learners to find balance in a digital world.
From setting time limits to prioritizing responsibilities and unplugging to enjoy outdoor activities, these lessons are already making an impact and it’s all driven by our students leading by example.
We are incredibly proud of these student leaders for turning awareness into action and helping shape a healthier future for our school community. 💙

April 2nd is World Autism Acceptance Day.
April is also Autism Acceptance Month—a time to deepen our understanding and continue building inclusive, supportive communities.
Today, we celebrate the unique strengths, perspectives, and contributions of individuals with autism across our GV community and beyond.
Autism acceptance is about more than awareness—it’s about creating inclusive environments where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
We encourage our community to continue learning, listening, and embracing neurodiversity—not just today, but every day.

Passover is a time of reflection, tradition, and gathering with family and friends. The holiday commemorates the journey to freedom and is marked by the sharing of the Seder meal, storytelling, and the passing down of traditions from one generation to the next.
We wish peace, joy, and meaningful moments to all who are observing Passover. Chag Sameach!

Students had a blast during a fun “Cupcake Wars” challenge—baking from scratch and getting creative with their cupcake decorations. Each group brought their own unique flair to the competition!
Teachers took on the role of judges, tasting and scoring each creation. While picking winners was tough, everyone had a great time learning and working together.
Great job to all of our student bakers! 🎉

In addition to learning about Native American cultures, students practiced writing complete sentences to share their knowledge. This learning will continue as students revisit Native American studies in both 3rd and 5th grade as part of the CKLA curriculum.

In Ms. Kunze's 6th grade Earth Science classes, students are bringing Earth’s 4.5 billion-year history to life by creating scaled timelines, where just 2 meters represents the entire lifespan of our planet. Through research and creativity, they are transforming their timelines into interactive “museum exhibits,” complete with informative blurbs.
