Celebrating Passover

As spring blossoms, our school district proudly acknowledges and celebrates the rich cultures that enrich our community. This Passover, we invite students, parents, and staff to explore and honor the profound traditions and stories of this historic festival.

What is Passover?

Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew, is a major Jewish holiday that commemorates the Israelites' exodus from slavery in Egypt, as narrated in the Hebrew Bible. This eight-day festival is rich with symbols and rituals, all designed to pass down the story of freedom and resilience from generation to generation.

Passover teaches us about resilience, the value of freedom, and the importance of storytelling. In our schools, these lessons transcend cultural boundaries, creating a sense of community and shared history.

As we celebrate Passover, let’s embrace the opportunity to learn from each other and grow together. By acknowledging and respecting our diverse backgrounds, we build a stronger, more inclusive community. Happy Passover to those who celebrate, and may its timeless messages inspire us all.
