All staff has the option beginning with their new laptop to purchase accidental insurance on their school-issued devices. Accidental insurance covers drops, spills, cracked screens, or broken keyboards that result in the device being unusable and needing to be replaced. Accidental insurance DOES NOT cover intentional damage or abuse/neglect of the device. The cost of this optional device insurance is $50 per year. (Initial coverage extends to June 30, 2023). The yearly fee includes insurance on all school-issued devices (e.g., laptops, desktops, iPads) used by the staff member.

All staff is responsible for the general care of school-used technology. Devices that are broken or fail to work properly must be reported to the school Tech Support for an evaluation of the equipment. Special care must be taken to protect the device screen, as any damage to the screen will result in the need to replace the entire device.

Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, all incoming 9th graders will receive a MacBook Air to use in school and at home. There is no fee for this device, however, students/parents have the option to purchase accidental insurance (see above).
