    The cost of the replacement varies based on the device, model, and type of damage. In the past, the average cost of damage to an iPad was approximately $80; the average cost of damage to a staff laptop was approximately $275.

    If no insurance is purchased, the district will try to find the best price to replace the broken device, and the end-user will pay the district the cost to either fix or replace the device, whichever is less.
