We are excited to welcome back some of our most popular classes, and eager to find new ideas and skills to offer to our students.

How to Host a Class
Please follow the steps below to host a class with Garnet Valley Community Education Association.
Visit our Garnet Valley Maintenance & Facilities page to sign up for an account and request use of one of our facilities rooms to host your class.
If you are already an employee of GVSD please proceed to the GV M&F for Staff page and submit your request to reserve a room.
Please note *** If you are an outside organization or individual you will need to review and accept the Regulations for Use of School Facilities Policy.
Fill out the form to the right (don’t forget to scroll to be sure you’ve answered all questions) - please be as detailed as possible with your description, this content will be shared with potential students, and once you have finished click “Submit”.

GENERAL POLICIES
In order to host a class, each instructor must:
Follow the steps listed above to reserve the room of your choice in a designated facility
Complete the form on this page for each class you would like to host
Provide a detailed description about your class
Indicate in your description, if your students will be required to bring supplies with them or what will be provided
Instructors will be paid $45 for each hour of instruction - Garnet Valley School District does not issue payments for time between classes, setup, or breakdown of your class.

Classes can only begin if the minimum required attendee count is met. This number is determined based on your class duration, size, and expenses, and will be issued to you once you have completed all of the above steps.
You will also be given a Maximum number of registrants if there is a limit on your space, based on the room you choose.
Once your class is live, we will send out a flyer with all active classes for that session. You will be emailed a copy of the flyer to share on your social media outlets. We encourage you to post publicly as you see fit!

All student registrations MUST be completed online. If the student does not have access to a computer, please instruct them to contact Trish Sharpe at sharpp@garnetvalley.org or 610-579-7374.
Student payments are accepted online or by mail. All students are required to submit their payments online, or by mailing their checks directly to:

Due to recurring patterns during the winter months, we have discontinued in-person class sessions during the months of December, January, February. If at any time during your Fall classes our transmission rates increase, Garnet Valley School District reserves the right to end classes.
If you are an outside organization that wishes to host a class, please note:
There is no solicitation allowed
You will be able to offer your business card at the end of class if anyone has questions and would like to follow up with you
The first class that you offer will be a courtesy to our community (there will be no fee required for the students) and if you wish to continue hosting classes after your first class is complete, we will adjust the required fee moving forward
Fall class registration will open in August of 2023
